ASD Adult Project - Action for ASD has recently recruited Emma Dunn as their new Research Officer.  She is a Psychology graduate and is looking at how improvements could be made to healthcare services in East Lancashire so that services are more accessible to adults on the autism spectrum. The project will last for 2 years and is split into 3 main areas.  It will look first at how much healthcare professionals understand about Autism and what training needs to be provided.  Later in the project Emma will be speaking to adults on the spectrum who live in East Lancashire about their needs and issues they have accessing healthcare, and will also look at services in other areas of the country to see which types of services work well and which don't work well.
