Organisation nameAiming High For Disabled Children
Start dateJune 11th 2010
DescriptionAiming High for Disabled Children is a government funded programme to improve services for children with disabilities and or complex health needs, and their families. As part of Blackburn with Darwen's commitment to this programme, we have established a wide range of opportunities to enable children and young people to have a short break. Short breaks give children and their families a break from the usual routine. A short break can be for a day, evening, overnight or weekend. Activities could take place in the child's home or the approved carer's home. We want the children to have enjoyable and positive experiences while thier families have a valuable and necessary break from caring responsibilities.
Eligibility0-19 year olds with a submission of a referral form. All services are decided by a multi-agency panel which sits on a monthly basis.
CostFree following approval.
